This doesn’t mean a man should be stoic, fake, or emotionally dead.

God isn’t like that, and we’re made in His image.

God is:

• Compassionate

• Empathetic

• Moved by His people

But you’ll never catch God whining.

You’ll never see Him dumping His heaviness on humans, saying,

“This is too much for Me. I can’t handle it.”

He is the rock, immovable, stable, trustworthy.

And as men, we’re called to reflect that.

The Real Role of Vulnerability

Vulnerability with your wife is fine.

She should know your heart.

She should feel your warmth, your strength, your emotions.

But the deep burdens? The fear? The stress? The soul-level anguish?

Take it upward, not sideways.

Your wife can support you, but she wasn’t designed to carry you. That’s God’s role.

When a man is grounded in God, he becomes a safe place for his wife.

When he isn’t, he leans on her like an emotional crutch—and it drains her.

So be the rock.
